Day 24 of the Challenge

people-2573216_1920.jpg

Thank you to all for another beautiful day.  I am grateful to be here and to share it with you!

I am on Day 24 of my yoga challenge, and  I have learned a few things:

1. Yoga is amazing.

I continue to experience the benefits.  My body continues to strengthen and become more flexible.  I am more grounded and connected to my body.  Even my cycle has changed a bit for the better.

2. It is still hard.

Though I’ve gotten MUCH farther in this yoga challenge than in the previous attempts, it hasn’t been easy.  I’ve almost missed days, I’ve cut out a few minutes from a few sessions.  However, the determination to stay faithful to the challenge and to my body has kept me going.  Matching my days to the calendar days has been extremely helpful as well — I don’t want to get behind!

3. Adaptations are OK.

I can’t always do the moves.  I can’t always do the whole session.  That’s ok.  I’ve really internalized this.  The most important thing is that I’m consistently putting this loving attention on myself — and on my body in particular.  If a body part is feeling strained, I leave the pose.  If I’m running short on time, I skim through the video and cut a little out (while still maintaining the balance within the practice).

4. The current challenge usurps all other habit-building attempts.

I’ve attempted to build a few other habits while focusing on this one.  As anticipated, my consistency has been sporadic.   No matter what, this habit comes first.  This is my foundational habit.  I build from this habit because it is the most important to me at this time.

5. It’s time to start thinking about my next challenge.

I’ve discovered that I can be very successful with these  multi-day challenges, completing at least 3 others in the past.  There are a few challenges that I’ve been contemplating, but I intend to use the Law of Proper Perspective to pick the one that will be the most enjoyable and motivating, as well as personally beneficial.

Have you picked a challenge?  How are you doing?  If not, might you give it a try?  Please share in the comments below! Much love and many blessings.

A Joyedien’s Tale: Angel Number 195

people-2572126_1920.jpg

Dear angels, God, Ascended Masters, Entities of Light, saints, Mother Gaia (Earth) . . .  and any and all beings for the good of all concerned, thank you for another day and for being a part of it.

This post is a little overdue.  Soon after my last post, I spoke again with my husband Brian and discovered that we were still on the same page afterall.  We just both acknowledged that this transition from living in a home to living on the road could be a challenge, even mentally.  As someone who had lived a month with only the contents of her backpack, the idea was a lot easier for me personally to grasp.  We have time to adjust.

Today on the odometer I saw 195,195 (Almost to 200,000 baby! — Side Note: Giving up my car will probably be THE HARDEST thing for me to give up when we go mobile.)  When I looked up the angel number meaning from Doreen Virtue’s Angel Numbers 101, I immediately resonated with the message.

The changes that you are making are well timed.  You are clear about what you will and won’t accept in your life.  These changes put you on the path of your Divine Mission . . .  and will result in you helping others to do the same.

I connect with this on 2 points:

1.It encourages me to continue with my dream of going mobile (living on the road).  My forward momentum took a hit yesterday when a strong internal emotional struggle (mouthful!) tore at my resolve, but I’m getting back on track.  It reminds me that following my dream will inspire others to do the same.

2.It encourages me to continue through my struggles.  I’m not sure how it happened, but suddenly I felt myself enmeshed in some of the biggest karmic lessons of my current lifetime (and before!): facing potential confrontation, boundary-setting, perception of value, perception of time, and self-judgement.  Perhaps not surprisingly, it was the last that nearly shredded me to pieces, but what I found most interesting was that I didn’t even recognize it — or its impact — until my coach pointed it out to me.  The more I open my awareness to judgement, the more I realize how powerful it can really be.

Here’s to your learnings!  Here’s to your dreams!  Much love and many blessings. ❤

53 Days ‘Til el Camino: Inspiration

IMG_1437.JPG

Look at my awesome hiking shoes!  I’ve decided to wear them anytime I leave the house, even for work!  That’s the beauty of creating my own dress code: if anyone asks, it’s an excuse to explain that I’m walking el Camino!

Today and Tuesday I wore them the whole day, and it was great!  Yesterday I made the mistake of walking too far into the lake (recently the walking path near my house), and I SOAKED my shoes.  They were still wet this afternoon, so I sicked a blow dryer on them for quite some time to wear them to work this evening.  I REALLY, really love these shoes.  My feet feel so loved in them.  Just getting the shoes makes the whole Camino trip worth it!  I can’t wait to see what they look like when I’m done walking 500 miles!  I have a feeling we’ll develop quite a bond. . .

Today I was blessed by two people sharing how I’ve inspired them.  One was grateful that I once insisted on paying her for what she had given me; it connected her to the Law of Prosperity and shifted her perspective on giving for free.  The other was inspired that I was “going for it” — jumping into this trip of el Camino!  She’s inspired to go after one of her bucket list trips!  I feel so fulfilled!

Overall a wonderful day today.  I had some great lessons with my students, I’m glad to have my shoes back, I’m amazed at how much energy I had today, I can tell I’m shifting and my confidence is building, and I’m anxious but excited about some changes I’m anticipating in how I go about my work.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Morning Routine: Ideas for Inspiration

holybooks

Yesterday I made a Facebook Live video about morning routines and encouraged everyone to share their ideas.  I was blown away by the responses!  This inspired to post the same question to my “On a Vision” group, and I will post some of the ideas in one of my blog posts this week.

One part of the routine that some mentioned was spiritual reading/inspiration.  I had been feeling the inner urge to add this to my morning practice as well, and the picture above shows some of my sources of inspiration:

  • 100 Voices by Buchanan and Klingsporn (Inspirational Quotes)
  • Doreen Virtue’s Angel Tarot Cards
  • The Bhagavad Gita
  • The Holy Bible
  • The I Ching
  • Horse to Water, a compilation by D. A. Wils
  • Words of Wisdom by Tatyana N. Mickushina
  • The Dhammapada
  • A Course in Miracles

Today I wanted to share my all-time favorite Bible verse with you that I decided to begin with today.  It’s 1 Corinthians 13:

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,  but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.  When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.  For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This is an incredibly humbling piece for me, a good feast for the ego when it is getting out of control.  We are all love.  We are born from love and we return to love.  We are always connected to love throughout our lifetime, but it is up to us as beings with free will whether or not we will maintain — or temporarily sever — that beautiful connection.

I can study, work hard, train, speak, share, even give to others and sacrifice myself — and it means nothing ultimately — unless it comes from love.  Where is my heart in each decision?  What is my purpose and intention throughout each action I take?  This is what really matters, no matter what I do.  When this lifetime is over, all that will remain is what was given and received from a place of love.

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Story Saturday/Sunday/Movie Monday!

I will not lose my blog.  I will not!  I may falter, but I will continue!  I will return!  Seriously, I’ve been hitting some challenging points lately with keeping up with this, but it’s all good.

This wonderful man has an incredible life story.  He just tickles me and is so magical!  I’m so grateful for my friend to have shared this with me, and  I love it so much that I’ve added it to my ongoing Vision Workshops.  Dreams can come true despite our age — despite any circumstances.  I love the persistence and consistency of this man.  Inspiring!

Enjoy!

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Movie Monday: Jumpstart Your Growth and Brian Earley!

I’m proud of Brian Earley for taking on this new journey of personal growth! Every day he’s working with the book Jumpstart Your Growth by John C. Maxwell, best-selling author of The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, and The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.  This is Day 1, and he’s already up to Day 7!   Enjoy. 🙂

Much love, many blessings.

Movie Monday: Why Not You?

I first saw this amazing video at DreamBuilder Live, which I will be attending again in a few days!  I’d love to wake up to this every day. . .  and maybe I will!  Enjoy! (Why? Why not? Why not you? Why not now?)
