53 Days ‘Til el Camino: Inspiration

Look at my awesome hiking shoes!  I’ve decided to wear them anytime I leave the house, even for work!  That’s the beauty of creating my own dress code: if anyone asks, it’s an excuse to explain that I’m walking el Camino!

Today and Tuesday I wore them the whole day, and it was great!  Yesterday I made the mistake of walking too far into the lake (recently the walking path near my house), and I SOAKED my shoes.  They were still wet this afternoon, so I sicked a blow dryer on them for quite some time to wear them to work this evening.  I REALLY, really love these shoes.  My feet feel so loved in them.  Just getting the shoes makes the whole Camino trip worth it!  I can’t wait to see what they look like when I’m done walking 500 miles!  I have a feeling we’ll develop quite a bond. . .

Today I was blessed by two people sharing how I’ve inspired them.  One was grateful that I once insisted on paying her for what she had given me; it connected her to the Law of Prosperity and shifted her perspective on giving for free.  The other was inspired that I was “going for it” — jumping into this trip of el Camino!  She’s inspired to go after one of her bucket list trips!  I feel so fulfilled!

Overall a wonderful day today.  I had some great lessons with my students, I’m glad to have my shoes back, I’m amazed at how much energy I had today, I can tell I’m shifting and my confidence is building, and I’m anxious but excited about some changes I’m anticipating in how I go about my work.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Morning Routine: Ideas for Inspiration

Yesterday I made a Facebook Live video about morning routines and encouraged everyone to share their ideas.  I was blown away by the responses!  This inspired to post the same question to my “On a Vision” group, and I will post some of the ideas in one of my blog posts this week.

One part of the routine that some mentioned was spiritual reading/inspiration.  I had been feeling the inner urge to add this to my morning practice as well, and the picture above shows some of my sources of inspiration:

  • 100 Voices by Buchanan and Klingsporn (Inspirational Quotes)
  • Doreen Virtue’s Angel Tarot Cards
  • The Bhagavad Gita
  • The Holy Bible
  • The I Ching
  • Horse to Water, a compilation by D. A. Wils
  • Words of Wisdom by Tatyana N. Mickushina
  • The Dhammapada
  • A Course in Miracles

Today I wanted to share my all-time favorite Bible verse with you that I decided to begin with today.  It’s 1 Corinthians 13:

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,  but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.  When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.  For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This is an incredibly humbling piece for me, a good feast for the ego when it is getting out of control.  We are all love.  We are born from love and we return to love.  We are always connected to love throughout our lifetime, but it is up to us as beings with free will whether or not we will maintain — or temporarily sever — that beautiful connection.

I can study, work hard, train, speak, share, even give to others and sacrifice myself — and it means nothing ultimately — unless it comes from love.  Where is my heart in each decision?  What is my purpose and intention throughout each action I take?  This is what really matters, no matter what I do.  When this lifetime is over, all that will remain is what was given and received from a place of love.

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Story Saturday/Sunday/Movie Monday!

I will not lose my blog.  I will not!  I may falter, but I will continue!  I will return!  Seriously, I’ve been hitting some challenging points lately with keeping up with this, but it’s all good.

This wonderful man has an incredible life story.  He just tickles me and is so magical!  I’m so grateful for my friend to have shared this with me, and  I love it so much that I’ve added it to my ongoing Vision Workshops.  Dreams can come true despite our age — despite any circumstances.  I love the persistence and consistency of this man.  Inspiring!

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Movie Monday: Jumpstart Your Growth and Brian Earley!

I’m proud of Brian Earley for taking on this new journey of personal growth! Every day he’s working with the book Jumpstart Your Growth by John C. Maxwell, best-selling author of The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, and The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.  This is Day 1, and he’s already up to Day 7!   Enjoy. 🙂

Much love, many blessings.

Movie Monday: Why Not You?

I first saw this amazing video at DreamBuilder Live, which I will be attending again in a few days!  I’d love to wake up to this every day. . .  and maybe I will!  Enjoy! (Why? Why not? Why not you? Why not now?)

Be the Gloriousness That is YOU

The following is now one of my favorite quotes.  I have admired it for some time, but I think that only now am I beginning to internalize it, to understand it:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” — Marianne Williamson

Your playing small does not serve the world.  Why feel guilty about what we have, what we do, what we are?  How does that serve?  Instead, let’s desire abundance, prosperity, wisdom, giftedness for all!  Humility is not putting ourselves down.  Humility is recognizing the connectedness of all existence and aspiring to raising all of existence as a whole.  (It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. . .)

As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. Through self-empowerment, we elevate others.  By shining our light, love, and joy,  we encourage this like frequency in others.  Think of a string of Christmas lights: lose your light, and the whole string may go with!  Instead, why not hold your candle flame steady, that others may light their wicks from yours!

As we are liberated from fear, our presence automatically liberates others. BE the change you wish to see in the world. (Gandhi)  Place your attention on yourself and on your thoughts.  (Do you know what you think about?)  Thoughts are things, and they not only affect our own reality, they can also affect others who come into our field.  So, how would you like to create your life?  How would you like to influence others?  We can choose faith and hope —  or doubt and despair.  We can choose fear — or love.  Which will you choose in this moment?  And this one?

I desire much love, joy, and positive influence for all of you.

Connected with you in spirit,

Teri ❤

I’m on Fire!

I love watching inspirational stuff.  Today these two items totally revved me up.  I’m ready for rebirth.  I’m ready to express the true me!

First this:

The genius of this man had me laughing, crying, and completely inspired!  The beauty of his uniqueness, creativity, and integrity with living with his truth completely blew my mind.  I’m going to be my own Demitri Martin!  Thank you to my friend John McGleam for responding to one of my goofy Facebook posts and inspiring me to start my day off with a bang!

And then this, too:

(Check out Dressing Your Truth on-line to get started!)

I’ve started watching the free videos, and I intend to take this all of the way.  Thank your, Dr. Christine Madar for planting this seed!  (And again, amazing subconscious connection work here.  I was inspired to tell Dr. Christine again how much I love how she presents herself with her dress, and she told me how to do it myself!)  I was already noticing ways that people have dressed and done their hair, and I’ve reflected about what clothes and styles I gravitate to.  Today I’ve started developing some images and some steps, and I’m ready to start my metamorphosis!

Here’s to all of you.  May you have a completely amazing, grateful-for-being-alive type of  day! ❤
