Mind-Blowing Perspectives

architecture-1868473_1920

It’s a year of the tweaks — tweaking strategies, media, patterns, and thoughts.

I’m going to keep “A Moment In Life.”  My goal is still to post every day, and I will build that up.  My favorite posts will be copied to my new website: https://www.terikarl.com  Every day of my life I look at what I have learned, what the universe has been teaching me.  And this is what I want to share with all of you.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about perspectives.  I recently received an intuitive report on Prosperity and Abundance, and I’ve been listening to it again the last few days.  In that report, it talks about a past lifetime that I am currently resonating with, and what has struck me most is that I chose the challenging conditions of that lifetime.   And because of those challenging conditions, I made a major breakthrough shift that allowed me to step into a new level of authority and healing.

So, all of these struggles I’m feeling right now with perfectionism, with feeling a need for stability, with feeling stuck and wanting to move faster, to manifest more quickly. . . Maybe I chose this.  Because I need it.

It brings a whole new level to gratitude and appreciating what we have, doesn’t it?  I’m certainly looking at my past in a whole new way!  What if all of these things we complain about . . .  are actually for our greater good.  And are maybe even something we chose for ourselves before we were even born?

Mind blown.

Have a joyful, mind-blowing day, everyone!

Much love, and many blessings. ❤

How Grateful Are You?

I have seen the above video a couple of times, and could watch it much more.  I think this was the inspiration for one of my Einstein shower thoughts about being grateful for every bit of my existence.

What if I remembered that I wasn’t taking any material things with me after this lifetime?  (Even my physical body!)  What if I woke up in the morning, grateful for the opening of my eyes?  Grateful to have this physical body?  Grateful for breath, for heart beats, for working body parts?  What if I were grateful for the carpet, floor, and house when I swung my feet over the side of the bed?  We could go on and on, right?

But, do you see?  I’m beginning to see that there is gratitude, and there is GRATITUDE.  Something I’d like to strive for, for sure.  I hope you enjoy the video. 🙂

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Support Local!

smallbusiness-403123_1280

I used to be afraid of “business.”  It was the great unknown.  My dad was a nurse, my mom was a librarian.  Some of my aunts and uncles were in “business,” but I didn’t really know much about it.  Then, I became a teacher, so it was still off of my radar.  I’d heard of the local “Chamber of Commerce,” and I vaguely wondered what it was.

Now I own two small businesses, and my fiancee is a network marketer.  Most of our household products come from his business, and more and more of our new friends we’ve met through networking.   Recent purchases and gifts have come from small business owners, and many of my coaching clients are involved in new business endeavors.

Many individuals are embracing the life of an entrepreneur.  Though it’s often quite the roller coaster ride, many enjoy the thrill and appreciate the flexibility in hours and income.  Some are grateful to spend more time with their families. Many are finally following their dreams.

In a society that has moved away from “Mom and Pop” and toward “super” markets and conglomerates, “small” is making a comeback. “Small Business Saturday,” is a great example, started in 2010 as a response to big business’s “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday.”

Most of you have friends and family with their own businesses, and many things you buy at “big-box” stores can also come from small businesses.  In this season of gifts and gratitude, please remember the entrepreneurs.  (Why turn a gift for one into a gift for TWO?)

Much love, many blessings. ❤

On A Mission of Joy: 10 Ways to a Wonderful Day!

—board-142741_1280.jpg

“You are the world’s light – it is impossible to hide a town built on the top of a hill. Men do not light a lamp and put it under a bucket. They put it on a lamp stand and it gives light for everybody in the house.” – Mathew 5:15

We have to choose our mood daily.   Here are some ways to help set us up to be successful.

Joy Tip #1: A Morning Routine

Start your day off right! (NOT with electronics!)

Here are some suggestions for a morning routine:  —Review your vision, particularly your vision for the day.  —Spend time in prayer or contemplation/meditation.  —Journal.  —Do some type of movement/exercise.  Read or listen to affirmations/music.  Drink plenty of fluids (water!). Eat a healthy breakfast. Start a gratitude practice.

Joy Tip #2: A Vision

—Be clear on your vision and mission.

What’s your What? — What would you love?  Think about health, relationships, time & money freedom, and vocation/creativity.  —Take a step every day!

What’s your Why? — What can you give today?

Joy Tip #3: Awareness

Press the “PAUSE” Button!  What are you thinking? (Do you know?)  What is your attention on?  —Are you in a story?  —What kind of story do you want to tell?

Joy Tip #4: Remember Gratitude

—Ask yourself: What am I grateful for RIGHT NOW?  —Start a gratitude journal/collage/list.  Spend 10 minutes with memories of gratitude.  Make it a practice to be grateful throughout the day.  —Volunteer

Joy Tip #5: Take Care of Yourself

—Are you getting enough sleep? Brendon Burchard recommends that you ADD an extra hour of sleep every day.  Are you getting 3 meals a day? (And snacks?) Are you sitting down to eat?  Are you aware of your dietary needs? Not enough food, too much food, and problematic foods can all affect your mood! And every body is different.  Are you getting enough water? Don’t like the taste of water? Try adding fruit to your water, like limes, lemons, or strawberries!

Joy Tip #6: Fill Your Bucket

Are you getting enough play? You need to fill your “joy bucket” to help you get through those rough patches!  What do you do to fill your joy bucket? Some examples include: karaoke,   eating favorite foods, long, hot showers,  sitting in the sun; swimming,  dancing around the house; reading a favorite book, going out with friends/family, watching a favorite movie, and collaging.

Joy Tip #7: Put It “On a Shelf”

Is something bothering you? Do you need to do some further reflecting on it later? (Or never??) Put in on a “shelf.”  Some other images include: putting it in a “bubble,” in a “basket” (down the river) or (for the angels to take away for you).

Joy Tip #8: Get Moving

—Simply stand up!  Or, if you’ve been standing all day — sit down!  Stretch your legs. Sit in a different place/different chair.  —Wiggle or do the Hokey Pokey.  —Move around.  Dance around.

Joy Tip #9: Pick From Your Joy Box

—Pick: gratitude; inspirational quotes, speeches, or music; pick out your personal theme song and play it or hum it; get some fresh air; surround yourself with lovely things; do the happy memory, spin activity; dance!

—And . . .

Joy Tip #10: Laugh!

—Get some favorite memories together! (Real life or movies!)  Hold the memory in your mind until you begin to giggle. (Or if needed, let it all loose!)  Need some inspiration?  There are great clips on youtube.  Here is one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bRjnUqzseU

—Are you the director of your life, or just one of the actors?  Everyone has days that test them, but we get to decide what we want to do with it!

Much love, many blessings! ❤

This is based on the presentation “On A Mission of Joy: 10 Ways to a Wonderful Day!” that I designed for a Teacher Institute Day at the FranCenter last week in Darien, IL.  If your group/team would benefit from this content, “The Vision Workshop” (Living a “Vision-Driven Life”), or similar, please contact me at terikarl@LifeMasteryConsultant.com for more details.

Movie Monday: Walking Your Daily Camino

What if every day was your “Camino”?

Celebration!

Hello, everyone!  This is Teri Karl, Life Mastery Consultant, and today’s topic is “Celebration!”  and what I’d like you to do today is take a moment to give yourself credit for what you’ve accomplished. No matter how big or small you think it is, it’s meaningful for you, and every time you take a look at those accomplishments, you will add to your success consciousness, which is really important to creating the life you love, to building upon that positivity and attracting more of success into your life.

We talked just last time about the importance of giving your subconscious mind positive images.  The more you can put your attention on what you’ve seen as successful in your life and celebrate every action you’ve taken, the more you will be motivated and be attracting those same circumstance for yourself later today, and tomorrow, and so on.

This all really ties into gratitude.  Be grateful for yourself, and be grateful for what you have.  The more positive you see your circumstance, the more positivity you will bring to yourself.

So, I’m just going to take a moment to celebrate my actions today. I finally went to Hip Hop Fit class, and I enjoyed it.  I already put it into my schedule for next week.  I’ve had it on my 10 Most Wanted (or Desired) list for a long time, so that’s huge.  I’ve made some important phone calls in my business and set up some coaching in my business.  And I’m really excited about it.  I’ve had a really good experience, and I can see the ball rolling and things happening from there.  So, I encourage you to — if you’d like — share in the comments below your successes for today or maybe this week, and really give yourself credit for what you’ve done.  Love yourself, give yourself a little attention, a little pat on the back.

I hope you have a wonderful day.  Many blessings.  Much love.

Various Thoughts

ID-1009981

It’s been a while since I’ve written, and I really need to write.  So, here I go a ramblin’ a bit.  Gotta get the juices flowing again. . .

First of all, I’m tired.  It’s 11:35, and I should be in bed.  However, I have a lot that I wanted to accomplish, and I got pretty much all of it done.  There are a lot of exciting things happening this month, and I am really trying to put myself out there, get my face out there, take some activity toward my goals and toward being with people.

I actually enjoy my meditations now . . .  to the point that I don’t feel like it’s an “exercise.”  It’s actually a treat.  Well, I don’t feel this way ALL of the time, but more lately.  I’ve become more aware of my scattered brain, and I feel so at peace and centered when I do meditation and concentration exercises.

I’ve felt more at peace in general.  Before I kept thinking I was supposed to be doing something else.  Something BIG.  Lately I’ve come to respect the importance of the internal world.  I know that I am doing the work that I am supposed to be doing.  The environment doesn’t matter.  The circumstances don’t matter.  The activity is important but irrelevant.  I can complete the work anywhere.  And I am grateful to be involved in jobs and volunteer work that helps me reach my ideal: empowering others so that they may become self-empowered.

My latest life lesson is on the necessity of positivity.   I am receiving the message from all places.  The angel numbers all point me in that direction.  (A lot of 1’s with every combo — 2’s through 9’s!)  I listened to Abraham Hicks this week — same message.  Last night in Metaphysics class — same message.  There is a part of me that doesn’t want to give that up;  I have gotten very far by nitpicking.  I have been able to push myself pretty far and to help others by finding ways to improve.  But I realize I have taken it too far and that I sometimes suffer insecurity and from low self-worth.  So, to make this shift I am adopting the following thoughts/affirmations:

  • “I give myself permission to be positive.”
  • “There’s some great things going on here! (or There are some great things going on here!)”
  • “Everything is awesome!”
  • “What am I grateful for today?”

I want to change, and I want to manifest.  I believe it can happen.

Love and blessings to all of you beings of light. ❤
