Dreams of Healing

HealingEnergyofYourHands2.JPG

I wish I’d written down my dreams immediately this morning.  What I do remember is this:

  • In the dreams I considered myself a “healer.”
  • I was in a room with individuals, but I don’t remember any touch interaction.
  • In one dream a woman was talking to me directly about the value of “struggle.”  And how it made her grateful for her life.
  • There was overall a feeling of gratitude.
  • In at least one dream, children were involved.

I’ve been looking into healing touch again. I was poking around in Barbara Brennan’s Hands of Light book.  And today I’m poking into a book a friend lent me: The Healing Energy of Your Hands by Michael Bradford.  Sometimes I ask myself if I’m just distracting myself from other things that I currently have in the works.  And sometimes I think: You’re being guided that way.  And anyway, maybe that doesn’t matter if it makes me happy.

Much love and many blessings to you all. ❤

Camino Gratitude

rose-266785_1280.jpg

As you may have heard me say before: I intended to walk the Camino alone.  I did this, but not really.  And I am grateful for everyone who took the walk with me emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  I would like to acknowledge them here.

My Inspiration

First, I would like to thank Goldie Matthew.  I first learned of the Camino at her Motivational Movie Night, when I saw Walking the Camino: 6 Ways to Santiago for the first time. (The seed was planted!)

Father Don Elias

I also want to thank the priest, Father Don Elias, who revived the Camino and whose yellow arrows guided me so perfectly all the way to Santiago.

My Family

I am also grateful for my family, who supported me immediately from vision through completion to readjusting to normal life!  My fiancee made sure I checked in every day and gave me a perfect welcome home. My dad was immediately excited for me and offered me some travel gear to help me on my journey.  My sister helped take care of our pets while I was gone, supported me financially in some of my travel costs, and helped me download Relaxercise, which saved my feet from tendonitis and any other possible foot ills!  My mom bought me the two guide books that helped me set the perfect foundation for a successful trip, as well as my amazing hiking boots, sleeping gear, and other odds and ends.  It was truly a group effort!

My Grandmothers

Next I would like to thank my grandmothers!  My Ukrainian grandmother prayed the “Little Flower Novena” for me every day, followed my travels on a map from town to town, and told me to watch for roses (which I saw EVERY day!)  My grandmother-in-law encouraged me with her Facebook comments on my trip updates.  My Illinois grandmother sent me off with the most beautiful, loving phone message that touched me and made me cry.

The Pilgrims

I am so grateful for the many people I met along the way, some who I met in passing — some who I’m still connected to!  I met people from Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico, many parts of the U.S., Canada, Scotland, Ireland, England, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Tunisia, South Korea, China, Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand! (And I’m probably missing some!)

Though I needed my solitude, it would have been incredibly challenging for me to have walked the whole way alone.  I am grateful to those who shared dinner with me, albergues with me, part of the Way with me, or even just a “Buen Camino!” with me!

My Home Community

The outpouring of support I received from the community back home was unbelievable, and I was amazed by how powerful and pivotal that encouragement was for me. Some supported me through texts, some through social media.  I posted updates on Facebook maybe 15 times, and the amount of loving, supportive comments I received was staggering.  I am truly grateful to anyone who was a part of this journey, on any level.

My Spiritual Community

I would be remiss if I did not give thanks to those in the spiritual realm who were with me every step of the way.  Of course, I give thanks to Source, the Creator of all (including me, Spain, and the Camino!)  I thank the angels and spirit guides who keep me safe, nudge me with guidance and teachings, and who support and unconditionally love me through every little detail.  (May I learn to love as you do!)

I give thanks again to everyone mentioned here, to anyone I may have missed, and to you readers, who have also been a part of my journey.  Your love and support means more to me than you could ever know.

Love, light, and blessings. ❤

Mind-Blowing Perspectives

architecture-1868473_1920

It’s a year of the tweaks — tweaking strategies, media, patterns, and thoughts.

I’m going to keep “A Moment In Life.”  My goal is still to post every day, and I will build that up.  My favorite posts will be copied to my new website: https://www.terikarl.com  Every day of my life I look at what I have learned, what the universe has been teaching me.  And this is what I want to share with all of you.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about perspectives.  I recently received an intuitive report on Prosperity and Abundance, and I’ve been listening to it again the last few days.  In that report, it talks about a past lifetime that I am currently resonating with, and what has struck me most is that I chose the challenging conditions of that lifetime.   And because of those challenging conditions, I made a major breakthrough shift that allowed me to step into a new level of authority and healing.

So, all of these struggles I’m feeling right now with perfectionism, with feeling a need for stability, with feeling stuck and wanting to move faster, to manifest more quickly. . . Maybe I chose this.  Because I need it.

It brings a whole new level to gratitude and appreciating what we have, doesn’t it?  I’m certainly looking at my past in a whole new way!  What if all of these things we complain about . . .  are actually for our greater good.  And are maybe even something we chose for ourselves before we were even born?

Mind blown.

Have a joyful, mind-blowing day, everyone!

Much love, and many blessings. ❤

How Grateful Are You?

I have seen the above video a couple of times, and could watch it much more.  I think this was the inspiration for one of my Einstein shower thoughts about being grateful for every bit of my existence.

What if I remembered that I wasn’t taking any material things with me after this lifetime?  (Even my physical body!)  What if I woke up in the morning, grateful for the opening of my eyes?  Grateful to have this physical body?  Grateful for breath, for heart beats, for working body parts?  What if I were grateful for the carpet, floor, and house when I swung my feet over the side of the bed?  We could go on and on, right?

But, do you see?  I’m beginning to see that there is gratitude, and there is GRATITUDE.  Something I’d like to strive for, for sure.  I hope you enjoy the video. 🙂

Much love, many blessings. ❤

Support Local!

smallbusiness-403123_1280

I used to be afraid of “business.”  It was the great unknown.  My dad was a nurse, my mom was a librarian.  Some of my aunts and uncles were in “business,” but I didn’t really know much about it.  Then, I became a teacher, so it was still off of my radar.  I’d heard of the local “Chamber of Commerce,” and I vaguely wondered what it was.

Now I own two small businesses, and my fiancee is a network marketer.  Most of our household products come from his business, and more and more of our new friends we’ve met through networking.   Recent purchases and gifts have come from small business owners, and many of my coaching clients are involved in new business endeavors.

Many individuals are embracing the life of an entrepreneur.  Though it’s often quite the roller coaster ride, many enjoy the thrill and appreciate the flexibility in hours and income.  Some are grateful to spend more time with their families. Many are finally following their dreams.

In a society that has moved away from “Mom and Pop” and toward “super” markets and conglomerates, “small” is making a comeback. “Small Business Saturday,” is a great example, started in 2010 as a response to big business’s “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday.”

Most of you have friends and family with their own businesses, and many things you buy at “big-box” stores can also come from small businesses.  In this season of gifts and gratitude, please remember the entrepreneurs.  (Why turn a gift for one into a gift for TWO?)

Much love, many blessings. ❤

On A Mission of Joy: 10 Ways to a Wonderful Day!

—board-142741_1280.jpg

“You are the world’s light – it is impossible to hide a town built on the top of a hill. Men do not light a lamp and put it under a bucket. They put it on a lamp stand and it gives light for everybody in the house.” – Mathew 5:15

We have to choose our mood daily.   Here are some ways to help set us up to be successful.

Joy Tip #1: A Morning Routine

Start your day off right! (NOT with electronics!)

Here are some suggestions for a morning routine:  —Review your vision, particularly your vision for the day.  —Spend time in prayer or contemplation/meditation.  —Journal.  —Do some type of movement/exercise.  Read or listen to affirmations/music.  Drink plenty of fluids (water!). Eat a healthy breakfast. Start a gratitude practice.

Joy Tip #2: A Vision

—Be clear on your vision and mission.

What’s your What? — What would you love?  Think about health, relationships, time & money freedom, and vocation/creativity.  —Take a step every day!

What’s your Why? — What can you give today?

Joy Tip #3: Awareness

Press the “PAUSE” Button!  What are you thinking? (Do you know?)  What is your attention on?  —Are you in a story?  —What kind of story do you want to tell?

Joy Tip #4: Remember Gratitude

—Ask yourself: What am I grateful for RIGHT NOW?  —Start a gratitude journal/collage/list.  Spend 10 minutes with memories of gratitude.  Make it a practice to be grateful throughout the day.  —Volunteer

Joy Tip #5: Take Care of Yourself

—Are you getting enough sleep? Brendon Burchard recommends that you ADD an extra hour of sleep every day.  Are you getting 3 meals a day? (And snacks?) Are you sitting down to eat?  Are you aware of your dietary needs? Not enough food, too much food, and problematic foods can all affect your mood! And every body is different.  Are you getting enough water? Don’t like the taste of water? Try adding fruit to your water, like limes, lemons, or strawberries!

Joy Tip #6: Fill Your Bucket

Are you getting enough play? You need to fill your “joy bucket” to help you get through those rough patches!  What do you do to fill your joy bucket? Some examples include: karaoke,   eating favorite foods, long, hot showers,  sitting in the sun; swimming,  dancing around the house; reading a favorite book, going out with friends/family, watching a favorite movie, and collaging.

Joy Tip #7: Put It “On a Shelf”

Is something bothering you? Do you need to do some further reflecting on it later? (Or never??) Put in on a “shelf.”  Some other images include: putting it in a “bubble,” in a “basket” (down the river) or (for the angels to take away for you).

Joy Tip #8: Get Moving

—Simply stand up!  Or, if you’ve been standing all day — sit down!  Stretch your legs. Sit in a different place/different chair.  —Wiggle or do the Hokey Pokey.  —Move around.  Dance around.

Joy Tip #9: Pick From Your Joy Box

—Pick: gratitude; inspirational quotes, speeches, or music; pick out your personal theme song and play it or hum it; get some fresh air; surround yourself with lovely things; do the happy memory, spin activity; dance!

—And . . .

Joy Tip #10: Laugh!

—Get some favorite memories together! (Real life or movies!)  Hold the memory in your mind until you begin to giggle. (Or if needed, let it all loose!)  Need some inspiration?  There are great clips on youtube.  Here is one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bRjnUqzseU

—Are you the director of your life, or just one of the actors?  Everyone has days that test them, but we get to decide what we want to do with it!

Much love, many blessings! ❤

This is based on the presentation “On A Mission of Joy: 10 Ways to a Wonderful Day!” that I designed for a Teacher Institute Day at the FranCenter last week in Darien, IL.  If your group/team would benefit from this content, “The Vision Workshop” (Living a “Vision-Driven Life”), or similar, please contact me at terikarl@LifeMasteryConsultant.com for more details.
