Summary Sunday: Quickening of Soul Progression (An Introduction)

How does one blog and complete one’s homework?  By blogging about one’s homework, of course!

“How has the study and application of metaphysics quickened my soul’s progression?”

Our class was instructed to go deep with this one.  How do we know our soul’s progression?  I think — as in the case of dream interpretation — it is something we intuit.  We know this; it’s about trusting that we know it.

Today I was thinking about death because I’ve heard about 3 funerals in the last few days.  Then I had my “Ah ha”! moment: if I were to die tomorrow, how much closer would I have gotten to my life’s purpose than yesterday?  What would this last year have meant to my growth?

Growth means change.  Before change comes awareness.  I am now aware of these things about my soul:

  1. I am the Illuminator.  I am to share my wisdom with others and help them in their soul growth.
  2. I have developed a karmic pattern of giving with resentment.  I am to understand and alter this.
  3. My purpose is self-empowerment.  This is my main lesson for this lifetime.
  4. Our ideal self is the best self we can imagine for ourselves.  My ideal self is unconditionally loving.  This includes being loving toward myself.
  5. My goal is to be still and present-minded.  I can accomplish this best through the practice of concentration and meditation.

. . .  Elaboration to follow in Part II tomorrow. . . .

3+2=5   I remember thinking: “It’s the year of change.”  And it’s already starting to hit. I had some changes forced upon me that sent my head in a wicked spin this week, but I’ve finally realized that this is just another of the universe’s kicks in the butt to help me toward what I actually want.

So, I’m 32.  I’m done with the year of the hard-driving “4”;  if this is the year of change, I am ready for it.  I’m ready to change for good.  I’m tired of being jealous of what other people have because I don’t allow myself the possibility of following my own dreams.  This year I’m going to celebrate along with the others as we discover our own excitement, enjoying living life and doing what we love.  No more “someday”, and no more “No way.”  If I can dream it, I can have it.  I’ve got some big dreams, baby, and I start working on them TODAY.  (I know there’s not much time left in the day, but I can at least start with visualizing already!!)

What dream are you living out today?  What dream are you building for tomorrow?

I’m At THAT Point

You know when you haven’t done something in a while, and it keeps looking bigger and harder to you until you question if you could/should do it at all?  I’m at that point.  With quite a few things in my life actually.  And blogging is one of them.  And I know perfectionism is creeping in again, preventing me from getting anything done.  So, my goal for this week is to be “sloppy.”  Just do a sloppy job on everything, so it gets done.  Now, will it really be “sloppy”?  Probably not.  It will be just fine.  But my perfectionistic side will think it’s sloppy, and it will be satisfied that I’m labeling it as such.  Is this healthy?  I don’t know.  But at least I know it will get things done!

Things that I intend to do a satisfactory job on this week:

1. Blogging every day again.

2. Cleaning up the house. (every day)

3. Finishing up grading for report cards.

4. Updating my vlog profile on letsvlog and making another video

5. Writing (non-blog) every day.

6. Doing something job-search related/life purpose related every day.

7. Exercising every day.

Potential future posts:

1. Welcome to the School of Metaphysics

2. More Numerology!

3. Transcribing Intuitive Reports

4. Car to the Doc

5. The End of An Era

6. Dream Attack

It’s a Grand, Connected World

I love connecting with people in other parts of the world:  Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, New Zealand, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, Armenia, South Africa, Ireland, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Brazil, Thailand, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, the Bahamas, France, Moldova, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Taiwan, Zimbabwe, Croatia, Russia, Puerto Rico, Spain, Japan, Portugal, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates, and other parts of the United States (according to my site stats).  And that’s not including people that I’ve visited!

On-line dating introduced me to a special guy I might never have met, and blogging has introduced me to friends and sympathizers who I never knew existed.  There are people struggling with what I’ve struggled with.  There are people who are at that point that I hope to reach.  And we’re all walking together along our journeys.  Not only do these people share in my journey; they’ve let me see a piece of their world.  This restless girl has found her means to travel the world in her own way.  The world is huge, but now it seems connected.

I know technology is pushing us farther apart from each other.  It’s allowing people like me who are shy and introverted to hide behind our computers probably more than we should.  But it’s also connecting us with people who are like us.  Who understand, who believe the same things.  Who laugh at the same things and break their hearts over the same things.   These are people who seek what we seek, who have similar goals, similar dreams.  I know I am unique, but now I feel a little less like an oddball.

This is the way.  Now that I’ve gotten a taste of it, I can’t imagine going back.
